RIM’s latest BlackBerry handset combines the firms’ two produce lines into one gadget. The Torch has a 3.2-inch 480×360 touchscreen before found only on the Storm handsets up front with a full QWERTY keyboard that slides out the bottom. Inside is a quad-band GSM radio along with 4GB of internal storage space backed-up by a 4GB microSD card.
The Torch is the first handset to run the just-announced BlackBerry 6 OS, which is among other things, is RIM’s answer to the Android blast. It packs a new media sync along with revamped social media apps and over all look. BlackBerry users will almost certainly appreciate the WebKit browser the most though. expectantly it brings the same sort of browsing knowledge to the stage that iPhone and Android users have long enjoyed.
